Gaile Plowden, Assistant to t= he President/CEO, updated the Commissioners on the status of Lake Mann HOPE VI application. The application is due November 17, 2009. Ms. Plowden stated t= hat the OHA, in preparation for the application, held several activities and meetings with the developer, potential partners and residents. <= /span>

Ayub Fleming, Asset Developme= nt, stated that the OHA is looking into whether or not <= st1:PlaceName w:st=3D"on">Orange County owned residential property as requested by Commissioner Hartnett. Mr. Flemi= ng reported that he was in discussion with Orange County but all residential prope= rties owned were lift stations and retention areas that were a part of subdivisio= ns that Orange County must maintain. <= /span>

8. = President/CEO’s Report

Ms. Vivian B= ryant, Esq., reported on the following items:&nbs= p; (1) her travel to Washington, D.C. to attend the National Associatio= n of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) conference; (2) the Request For Qualification (RFQ) for Lake Mann HOPE VI; and (3) the OHA staff’s request to change the November 19, 2009 board meeting to November 12, 2009 = due to the Lake Mann HOPE VI application deadline, November 17, 2009.

9. = CHAIR’S REPORT

Chair Carson stated that at the recent National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) conference, the importance of customer service and partnerships was emphasized. Chair Carson also provided the board members with copies of the NAHRO 2010 Appropriations Conference talking points. Chair Carson announced Commissioner Beitsch’s nomination to be a Fellow with the American Institute of Certified Planners.
