The Housing Authority of the City of Orlando, Florida (OHA) will stop accepting online and in office pre-applications for the Conventional Public Housing Program on September 30, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.
You will still be able to manage and up-date your pre-application on line by using the "Apply for Housing" link.
Effective October 1, 2016 the Conventional Public Housing waiting list will be closed.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Julián Castro today granted $500,000 to Sanford Housing Authority as part of $8 million awarded nationwide to 10 severely distressed neighborhoods to stimulate affordable housing and economic development. Funded through HUD’s Choice Neighborhoods Initiative, these awards will help local leaders to craft comprehensive, homegrown plans to revitalize and transform these neighborhoods.
Part of the Obama Administration’s effort to build Ladders of Opportunity to the middle class, HUD’sChoice Neighborhoods Initiative promotes a comprehensive approach to transforming neighborhoods struggling to address the interconnected challenges of distressed housing, inadequate schools, poor health, high crime, and lack of capital. (OHA) is seeking property owners with rental units that are handicap accessible. The units must meet
Housing Quality Standards (HQS),
Section 504 Accessibility and
ADA Criteria. If you
are a landlord with an accessible dwelling unit available lease, please go
to the Orlando Housing Authority website at
www.orl-oha.org, and click on “Handicap Accessible Unit Registry.” You

AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) NEWS REPORTS MISREPRESENTATION
OF THE FACTS
The recent television news report and newspaper article regarding the
Orlando Housing Authoritys implementation of the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act funds misrepresented my comments. WDBO is a local radio
news station in Orlando, FL. WDBO News Reporter, Drew Petrimouix,
interviewed me Monday, June 7, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. regarding the Government
Accountability Audit Office audit that was conducted in March 2010.
